The business took its name from the Brayford Pool in Lincoln, which is where the company was first established in 1969 by a group of local businessmen to make bags for locally grown produce.

Having outgrown the premises in 1972 we spent 20 years on a new site in Dunholme, Lincoln and then in 1993, we moved to our present and custom built factory which meets the highest hygiene standards. We have continued to grow and in 2001 we added a new print and conversion hall bringing us up to a total of 50,000 square feet.
